Nigerian passport holders must obtain a visa to enter Vietnam, regardless of whether the purpose of entry is tourism or business. The e-Visa is currently the simplest and quickest option, as the entire procedure is completed online. After your application is approved, the e-Visa will be issued electronically and sent to you by email, or you can also download it from the official e-visa website.

Vietnam accepts the e-Visa for entry at 13 airports, 16 land border crossings, and 13 seaports.

Please be aware that airlines will only allow boarding with a valid visa. If the visa has expired or contains details that do not match those in your passport, boarding will be refused. However, Nigerian travelers flying directly to Phu Quoc (PQC) may enter Vietnam without a visa for up to 30 days, as long as the following conditions are fulfilled:
- Arrival and departure take place directly to and from Phu Quoc, either by air or sea.
- An onward ticket to a destination outside of Vietnam within 30 days is presented.
- The traveler is not barred from entering Vietnam.
