If you are traveling to China, you need to obtain an appropriate visitor’s visa.

Getting a China visa is a two step process. First, you will need to get an official letter of invitation from a company authorized by the China Ministries of Foreign and Internal Affairs called Visa Support Document or Invitation. Then you will need to take this invitation along with the application form and two passport size photos and an original of your passport to the China Embassy in Hanoi or China Consulate in Hochiminh City in order to have your visa processed

Requirements For Foreign Citizens To Enter China

  • Passport must be valid 3 months beyond intended stay
  • Tickets and Documents for return or onward travel
  • Visa is Required
  • Vaccination - None Required

Requirements For Foreign Citizens To Obtain Visa To China

  • Passport must have at least six months remaining validity
  • Application form fully completed and signed
  • Passport-type photograph
  • FOR TOURIST: Copy of hotel confirmation or letter of confirmation from tour operator with signature and company stamp
     
  • FOR BUSINESS: Letter of invitation from Company or Organization in China 
     
  • FOR PRIVATE VISIT: Your friend or relative in China must obtain an official invitation from the local OVIR (Office of Visas and Registration), and this certificate must be included with your visa application.

Important: China has set visa exemption for Ordinary passport holders of Singapore, Brunei and Japan. Nationals from three these countries are allowed to enter China without visas for up to 15 days for tourism, including visiting family or friends, or minor business purposes provided they enter through nominated international ports.

I am Irish. Do I need a China visa? I'm going to Guangzhou for a 3 day vacation. Do I need a China holiday visa? I am not planning to travel out to HK or Macau.

Passing through china, do I need a China visa?

Hello Rushvietnamvisa.com,

I wonder that I am returning to australia from moscow and going to bejing, then to shanghai hongqiao to change to go to pudong then to sydney arrving in bejing from 7.20 and leaving to sydney from Shanghai at 19.35...would i need a China visa?

Can you help me solve this wonder?
